You woke up screaming at 12:30. Well not screaming so much as weeping. We tried burping you, I tried picking you up and looking at you, turning the lights on, talking to you.

Nothing worked. You just wrapped your little arms around my neck and put your head on my shoulders, and I stroked your back while you sobbed and sobbed.

You're walking! You took your first courageous steps a few weeks ago, and I was surprised at how excited I was by them, how brave you were throwing your arms up and stepping your feet out.
